                         "DNIEPER CUP" CONTEST
              
                                 Rules


   Kremenchug radioamateurs union (KRU) kindly like to invite all
radioamateurs to take part in International contest "Dnieper Cup", which
will be carried on every first Sunday of October. 
(In 2024 - 06 October, etc.)

The competitions pass on two bands - 1,8 and 3,5 MHz and include three
1-hour rounds:

1 round  -  SSB     17:00 - 17:59 UTC; 
2 round  -  CW      18:00 - 18:59 UTC;
3 round  -  RTTY    19:00 - 19:59 UTC.

Each round include two 30-minutes periods. (00...29 and 30...59 minutes),
where it is allowed to make QSO again.

Repeated QSOs with same correspondent is allowed on different bands,
in different rounds (modes) and in second 30-minutes period of each round.

Call: ...CQ DC. Recommended 80m SSB band: 3603-3650 kHz.


Exchange:  five-unit, consist of the reference designation of region
(or other similar territorial formation - province, state, land) and
serial number starting from 001 for each mode separately, for example: 
Poltava region (Ukraine) - PO001; Ancona (Italy) - AN021;
Alsace (France)- AL035; Gotlands land (Sweden)- GO123.  RS/RST is not used.

Points:
4 (four) points per QSO on 1,8 MHz;
2 (two) points per QSO on 3,5 MHz;
10 points for new region (province, state, land, etc.) on each bands.
Final scoring: sum of qso-points and region-points.

CATEGORY:

A - Single Operator;
A-low power - Single Operator;
B - Multi Operators.

Every Single-Op participants will be resulted also in additional
single-mode and single-band sub-categories (max. 11 result tables).

Category B - means team consisting of 2-3 operators. 

Maximum power output should not exceeds your national license.
Low power means using TX with output power not more than 100 Watts.
Only one transmitted signal can be used in same time for any participants.

Band changes can be performed each 5 minutes. For Multi-Op participants
is possible to do quick band changes, but only to work new region 
(province, state, land etc).

Awards: Winners in category A, A-low power and B will be awarded
with "Dnieper Cup" and diplomas (1-3places). 
Winners (1-3places) in the rest of sub-categories - diplomas.

NEW! Special prize - small "Dnieper Cup" will be applicable to the winner
in category "A-low power" if there are not less than 10 participants in this
category.

Logs: Cabrillo format is preferred. LOG needs your personal info, class,
address; full QSO data, eg: band, mode, date, time, your call, send exchange,
station call, received exchange. There is not need to calculate final score
manually. Below is an example of LOG file:

In line "CATEGORY:", it is necessary to indicate the category in which your
operation is declared: A , A-low , B ...
Participant that send logs for Checklog must type Z sign here.

Log must be one file - "call.log" or "call.cbr", for example: ux0ff.log,
oh2lu.cbr... And as well a summary sheet by separate file. Comments, anecdotes
and suggestions is welcome!
LOGs entries must be E-mailed not later then one week after contest.  

All logs will be cross-checked by special computer software. We are going to
use for the final result ONLY QSO's which have QSO time deviation not more
than +/- 2 minutes. Please don't forget to correct Your computer's clock
before the contest! We are going to use for the final result ONLY QSO's
confirmed by received LOG's! Please send Your LOG even if You made only
few QSO's!

Software support:
Contest can be operated with any LOG-software that allow to setup 30-minutes
rounds and accepts to setup received exchange as by this rules.
Possible to adjust and use: TR4W, N1MM, 5Mcontest, MIXW2 etc.
